BANDUNG SPOT

Hello whoever read this post! Well here I am telling you about one of Bandung spot I have (often) visited. This place is *insert drum roll sounds here* BANDUNG INDAH PLAZA!!!! Or we usually called it BIP. Ok I know this place is neither strange nor new nor unique for us and my classmates had chose other strange yet unique yet new places but I am sorry for a lack idea:(

Bandung Indah Plaza is strategically located on Jalan Merdeka which is the main thoroughfare in Bandung (near from my school too yeay). Anchors in the mall include Matahari Department Store, Hypermart and Empire 21 cinema. Bandung Indah Plaza offers a variety of tenants with over 180 stores and is the choice destination for families and executives in Bandung.

SONG

"We Will Not Go Down" (Song for Gaza)

SONG FOR GAZA - A SONG ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS
In January of 2009, during the war in Gaza, Michael wrote and released a humanitarian song in support of the Palestinian civilian victims. The song is called "We Will Not Go Down (Song for Gaza)" (click here to download song). It was posted on YouTube and originally made available as a free mp3 download. The response to the song has been overwhelming, to say the least. Here are a few stats:
  • Over 1 million views of the original video on YouTube (within the first month)
  • Over half a million downloads of mp3
  • Over 10,000 emails, comments and messages of support
Contrary to the belief of some people, the song has absolutely nothing to do with religion (and the various online postings by people claiming that Michael is a follower of any particular religion are totally erroneous). This song is strictly humanitarian in nature. It has been, and continues to be, played on radio stations and television channels in several countries, and it was chanted in demonstrations and rallies all over the globe. It has been translated into a dozen languages and subtitled on numerous clips. More than 500 new clips have been made with "We Will Not Go Down" by people all over the world, and thousands of websites have uploaded the clip and posted the lyrics (Note: Please scroll down to read an important notice regarding the above-mentioned videos).
Michael did not initially make the song available on iTunes. However, after the incessant inflow of emails he received from people inquiring as to why it wasn't available on iTunes, he has finally rectified this situation in July of 201

WE WILL NOT GO DOWN (Song for Gaza)
(Composed by Michael Heart)
Copyright 2009
A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they’re dead or alive
They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight
Women and children alike
Murdered and massacred night after night
While the so-called leaders of countries afar
Debated on who’s wrong or right
But their powerless words were in vain
And the bombs fell down like acid rain
But through the tears and the blood and the pain
You can still hear that voice through the smoky haze
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

NATURAL PHENOMENON

NATURAL PHENOMENON

Doug Perrine, a marine biology photographer, has captured stunning images of bioluminescent waves, in Vaadhoo Island, Maldives.

The spot holds a concentrated population of bioluminescent phytoplankton, much to the delight of photographers.
Various species of phytoplankton are known to bioluminesce, and when washed ashore by the tides, their chemical energy is turned into light energy, illuminating waves all over the world.
The biological process is ancient, natural and found around the world. If you've never seen it, it's most easily observed on nice, warm beaches after dark.

KOREAN'S SEBLAK

Hello guys! Omg it feels like I just posted about my holiday few days ago but then here I am AGAIN with the task :( Okay so the title of the task is CULINARY! OMG YES FOOD! I’ll give you information about this kind of Korean street food that caught my attention. Its Tteokbokki (떡볶이; also known as teokbokki, ddeokbokki, topokki, and dukboki) but best known as Korean spicy rice cake, and for the title. . . I think Tteokbokki looks similar like Indonesian street food called seblak, don’t you guys think so?

TteokBokkI (떡볶이) is one of the most popular Korean street foods. Since the way to cook this food is very easy and simple, Korean people often make it at home too. Depending on your personal tastes, you can make it spicier or sweeter. This snack has many different names according to its ingredients such as cheese TteokBokkI, RaBokkI (Ramen noodles), GanJang TteokBokkI, or GungJung TteokBokkI (soy sauce).

HOW TO MAKE IT :

Main Ingredients

  • 2 Cups (15) Sticky Rice Cake Sticks
  • 2 Fried Fish Cakes
  • 1 Cup Cabbage
  • ⅔ Cup Onion
  • ½ Cup Carrot
  • 1 Green Onion

Broth Ingredients

Sauce Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp Red Pepper Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Red Pepper Powder
  • 2 Tbsp Corn Syrup
  • ½ Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • ½ Tbsp Minced Garlic
  • Some Sesame Seeds (to garnish)

    Directions

Slice ½ cup worth of an onion into quarter inch pieces. Cut ½ cup worth of a carrot diagonally. Cut 1 green onion into ½-inch pieces. Cut ⅔ cup worth of cabbage into quarter inch pieces.
To make the broth, boil 2½ cups of water, 6 pieces of kelp, 2 pieces of fish cake, and 1 dried anchovy pack together for about 10 minutes. The dried anchovy pack is optional.
Remove the kelp, fish cakes, and anchovy pack from the broth. Keep the fish cakes for later and discard the kelp and anchovy pack.
Cut the cooked fish cakes and the sticky rice cakes into 2 inch pieces.
In the broth, add 3 Tbsp of red pepper paste, 1 Tbsp of red pepper powder, 2 Tbsp of corn syrup, ½ Tbsp of sugar, 1 Tbsp of soy sauce, and ½ Tbsp of minced garlic. Depending on your taste, you can make your tteokbokki sweeter or spicier by changing the amount of sugar or red pepper paste. If you can’t eat too spicy food, skip the red pepper powder. You can use sugar instead of corn syrup. Cook it for 5 minutes on medium-high.
Add the rice cakes, carrot, onion, and cabbage into the broth.
Cook it for about 5 minutes until the rice cakes become soft on medium-high.
Add the fish cakes and cook for 1 more minute.
Add the green onion, cook for another minute, and then turn off the heat.
Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top of TteokBokKi to serve.
